SXL npc-Desmond Blake

Oh hello new NPC!
darn sixfold, it compels me to make new OCs D:

edit 24/12/12: Lucy the spheal has been replaced with Celia the sceptile. (don't worry, Lucy is in a good home!)

Name: Desmond Blake “Des”
Gender: Male
Age: 28 (birthday is January 6th)
Height: 6’02”
Personality: Very easy going. He loves nothing more than getting out on the waves for a surf. He is exceptionally friendly to anybody he meets, always ready to help if needed. He is a simple creature who lives for the moment. Desmond has almost infinite patience, and is almost never seen to have a temper. For all his confidence on the waves, he is shy around women he likes. He is very much respectful of women, and is somewhat old fashioned when it comes to courtship.
Brief History:
Desmond grew up in Slateport City, Hoenn. He has always had an affinity for the ocean, since he was young. His father was a ship engineer, and his mother sold homemade pastries and preserves in the seaside market. He never really had any aspirations to greatness, but to appease his parents wishes for him to have further education, he attended college (studying marine biology, water being his favourite pokemon type). He was only just able to scrape by with the grades he got, but luckily gained his undergraduate degree.
It was during this time he started offering surf lessons to help pay tuition. Although he enjoyed what he studied, he really could not escape his passion for surfing.
After college he had gotten a job studying the effect of the space centre and its rocket launches on the surrounding environment and its wildlife. On one dive, he unwittingly came across a rather nasty sharpedo who proceeded to bite his leg. Maxi manage to frighten the pokemon off, and Desmond was lucky enough to escape without serious damage.
About a year ago he decided to take a vacation to Cita Erbonde after hearing about its lovely beaches. He immediately fell in love with the atmosphere, the beaches and the surf. Desmond made the decision to relocate to Cita, living in small shack just outside the city limits. His previous job was enough to pay off debts, and now he chooses a simple life doing what he truly loves.
Misc:
-Desmonds works as a surf instructor, beginners welcome! (Roma is there to help you.)
-You will most often find him along the coastline, or watching league matches in the battleground (he appreciates the entertainment of a good battle)
-he almost never wears shoes
-He is hardly ever clean shaven
-He also has freckles!
-as well as surfing on the ocean, he also loves to surf in the sky! Maxi’s harness and attacks are designed to keep a rider steady in flight.
-The sharpedo tooth n his necklace was pulled from his leg after a sharpedo attacked him.

Species: Huntail
Gender: male
Nature: docile
Characteristic: good perseverance
Ability: swift swim
Moveset:

Misc:
-Roma's name comes from the fact that he loves to eat tomatoes! (as odd as that may be)
-He is very docile
-He likes to help out beginners in his trainers surf class. He will help to steady their board from underneath, and tow them to shore if they wipe out.

Name: Maximillian (Maxi)
Species: Mantine
Gender: male
Nature: gentle
Characteristic: likes to relax
Ability: swift swim
Moveset:

Misc:
- Desmond's oldest, and most trusted friend.
-When equipped with his harness, maxi is capable of maintaining a rider on his back. His attacks help him to accomplish this.
- He can get into the air from land by using bounce, statin aloft with tailwind.
- A gentle giant, he has no malicious bones in his body.

Species: sceptile
Gender: female
Nature: mild
Characteristic: alert to sounds
Ability: overgrow
Moveset:
- synthesis

Misc:
-Desmond is Celia's second trainer, she is far happier with him that her previous trainer (who was ruthless with his Pokemon).
-Celia does not have arm blades after a former team mate tore them off during training.
-At the moment she is unable to be recalled to a mirage ball due to her arm.
-Her arm is in a cast as it had to be re-broken and set properly after it was left untreated for several weeks, the bone fusing in a strange way and causing an enormous deal of pain to the pokemon.
-She is very friendly
-Celia loves to sunbathe, and it does her good.
